Tami Dower

Born and bred in the land of meat pies and footy (although unfortunately not a fan of either), I have recently relocated from Melbourne to Sydney. A word nerd from way back, I have a passion for all things written and an eagle eye for an errant apostrophe. My hobbies include travel, cooking and entertaining, the arts, fitness, camping and most outdoor pursuits.

My journalistic career unofficially began in 1995 as a work experience student at the Herald Sun, after winning the paper’s inaugural Junior Journalist Award. An interest in social justice and its interaction with the machinery of government and business subsequently led me to study law at university, but after a brief stint in legal practice I returned to my first love - writing.

I have an unerring commitment to quality in all of my editorial endeavours. Underpinning this commitment is my recognition of the need to achieve optimal business outcomes without compromising editorial integrity. To read a selection of unsolicited accounts of my work ethic and dedication to editorial quality, see the section on testimonials.
